Judicial Legitimacy

In recent decisions, the Supreme Court has ignored precedent, answered questions it wasn’t required to, decided cases on the “shadow docket” without full briefing, and seemingly decided cases in line with partisan preferences. Such decisions are seen as political and are causing the public to lose faith in the Court.
